Join us for a fun-filled Ho‘olaule‘a at the Pahala Community Center, located between Punalu‘u Black Sand Beach and Hawai‘i Volcanoes National Park.

 

With free music and hula all day long, discover local crafts, food and games, take coffee farm tours, or simply explore and taste local coffees presented by the farmers of Ka’u.

We invite you to sample Ka‘u coffees prepared using a wide variety of techniques and served by expert baristas.

 

Learn the secrets to brewing the perfect cup and impress your fellow coffee drinkers.

 

Brew methods include Hario Pour-over, Clever, French Press, Chemex, Toddy Cold-brew and others, as well as a variety of prepared espresso beverages.

Meet award-winning growers and their families as you taste an astounding variety of their Ka‘u coffees and take some home to share!

 

Treat yourself to food, drinks and desserts, and check out the locally made arts and crafts, or go more in-depth and learn about the natural and cultural resources of Ka’u at the informational booths.

Take guided tours to Ka‘u coffee farms and the Ka‘u Coffee Mill as you head up the slope of the Mauna Loa volcano. Learn how famous Ka‘u coffees are hand cultivated and carefully processed.

 

Ask questions, take photos and learn all about coffee grown in Ka‘u.

 

Tours are free and can be booked at the Ho‘olaule‘a. Shuttles leave from the Pahala Community Center throughout the day.
