Come enjoy a bountiful dinner and live music on a small specialty coffee farm located in the misty, enchanting Wood Valley.

Surrounded by producing coffee trees, and with estate coffee featured in every course, you can connect even more deeply with the quality, flavors, and atmosphere that Ka'u coffee offers. The main course will be cooked in a traditional imu (earth oven) and uncovered and served right from it.

The dinner will be held in a family-style setting with everyone sitting around one large table. It will be a lively and happy atmosphere. The coffee folks involved in organizing and serving this dinner come from all kinds of backgrounds. You will get a sense of a small-town community with its diverse and authentic cultural side.

 

With cocktails, wine, live music, and beautiful scenery, this will be a lovely evening to add to your festival experience!​

Chef Ellard Resignato was born in Brooklyn, New York and grew up on the Jersey Shore.

 

He first learned to cook from his Father who taught him dishes from his Italian and Ukrainian heritage.

He came to Hawaii Island for the first time in 1998 and trained as a chef in Puna at Kalani Honua in Kalapana. 

 

He is the Host and Executive Producer of the food and travel web/TV series the Culinary Edge TV. Chef Ellard has traveled the world searching out unique and authentic food adventures and recipes. 

 

He regularly teaches cooking classes utilizing many of these recipes at the Spoon Shop in Kona. He is currently a full-time resident of the Big Island and a dedicated surfer, fisherman, and amateur mechanic.
